Tom Sprankle, General Manager of The award‐winning Golden Hotel, will be spending Wednesday, December 8th on the hotel’s roof as a way to gain awareness and raise funds for Rebuilding Together Metro Denver. In conjunction with Colorado Gives Day and in the effort to help raise $1 Million Dollars in one day; he will be bearing the elements asking for donations to help him reach the hotel’s goal of $500.00.
Sprankle will be spending the day starting at 9 a.m. on the second level of the hotel on the corner of Eleventh Street and Washington Avenue with a bucket he can lower to the sidewalk for individuals passing by to put their donations into. “I know it may be cold and could make for a long day sitting on the roof of the hotel, but well worth it to help this worthy community project” Sprankle stated. Other managers and associates of the hotel will also be participating by standing on the corner with picket signs asking for help to get their “General Manager off the roof”. Employees of the hotel will also be encouraged to wear jeans on this day for a minimum $5 donation to Rebuilding Together. Rebuilding Together is Choice Hotels International philanthropy and The Golden Hotel is proud to be a part of the Choice Hotel family as an Ascend Collection property. “For more than a decade, Rebuilding Together Metro Denver has been working in partnership with the community to help low income home‐owners age in place in safer, healthier home.”
